In these instructions we present the winner-Advent Calendar by Anne S. The creative Advent Calendar was chosen at the Advent Calendar handicraft competition 2014 by our VBS-Jury of experts selected one of three winning calendars. You can easily recreate the Advent Calendar with the right material.
And it's that easy:
First, remove the board from the memo board. The best way to do this is with a screwdriver, which you clamp under the board. Care should be taken to avoid damaging the wood underneath. If glue remains after this, it can be removed with a Cutter be removed
Subsequently, a Motif paper can be glued on the large and the two smaller former board areas in size 22.5 (- 1-2 mm) as desired
The tacks are now pressed in at regular intervals of 5.5 cm along the edges of the memo board and, if necessary, hammered into the frame. A Cord is then stretched from one side of the frame to the other using these tacks. The Cord should be as tight as possible so that the half opened cards do not slip
Behind the stretched Cord you can then put the 24 little cards, which will later represent the calendar. The cards have a size of 6x5 cm (folded 3x5 cm) and can be labeled or provided with little notes. If the cards are to be closed, small clothes pegs can be used for fastening. However, the cards must then be correspondingly smaller, otherwise they will not fit into the board area with the small clothespins
The design and decoration of the individual door cards and the rest of the calendar should be done according to your wishes and also adapted to possible persons receiving gifts. Interesting materials are here among others: Ribbons, stampings, bells, buttons, gemstones, Gel Pens and much more. The small shelf of the memoboard has been moved to the upper area. It can serve wonderfully as a collection container for the already "expired" cards
VBS Hobby and Advent Calendar-handicraft competition winner Anne S. wish you a lot of fun with the Vintage Advent calendar
