Instructions No. 3527
Difficulty: Beginner
Working time: 10 Minutes
Step 1: Prepare the wire
First, cut a piece of wire with side cutters. Make sure that the wire is long enough to fit easily around the star-cut out form and leave about 15 cm overhang at both ends. This extra wire will give you a better grip later when bending.
Step 2: String the beads
Now comes the creative part: thread beads onto the wire to your heart's content. Choose the colors and sizes you like and play with different patterns to give your star an individual look. Be careful not to thread too tightly so that the wire remains flexible.
Step 3: Bend the wire into shape
Then place the beaded wire around the star-cut out form. Press it carefully into the shape and bend the wire so that it follows the exact contour of the cookie cutter. This technique will help you to create a perfectly symmetrical star.
Step 4: Fix the ends
Where the two ends of the wire meet, twist them together using round nose pliers. Make sure that the wire is tight so that no beads can slip down. If you notice that the wire is still loose, twist the ends together a little tighter.
Step 5: Remove the excess wire
Then carefully cut off the excess wire with the side cutters. Be particularly careful not to damage any beads or cause the wire to come loose again.
Step 6: Attach ribbon
Now cut a ribbon to the desired length and tie it to the finished star. You can use it to hang up your beautiful bead star or use it as a pretty pendant.
With these pretty beaded stars, you can easily brighten up your home or bring creative joy to others. Ready for your next craft project? Discover our large Selection range of beads, wire and ribbons in our online store and let your creativity run wild!
