Designing creative cards with chenille wire - simple, quick and effective
To start, shape the chenille wire according to your own ideas. chenille wire is a flexible craft wire with a fluffy surface that is particularly easy to shape. You can bend it into hearts, flowers, lettering, spirals or abstract shapes.
It is best to work with your fingers or carefully shape the curves on a flat surface. This will give you clean lines and even shapes.
Tip: Place your shape on the card as a test to see if the size and shape fit well Position fit well.
Glue the shapes on - so everything stays securely in place
When you are happy with your wire shape, stick it onto the card with VBS handicraft glue onto the card. Apply the glue in dots or thin lines to the underside of the chenille wire and then press it lightly onto the card.
The handicraft glue ensures a firm hold and dries transparent - ideal for handicrafts on Paper and cardboard.
Allow the glue to dry briefly before continuing so that the shape does not shift.
Add subtle accents with the fineliners
Finally, you can finish off your card with a fineliners . fineliners are pens with a very fine tip, perfect for writing and small details.
You can add words, greetings or small drawings or visually emphasize the chenille wire-shape, for example with lines, dots or frames. This gives your card a personal touch and makes it look even more individual.
