Before you start designing, you need to make sure that your iron-on jars are clean. Wash them thoroughly with warm soapy water and dry them to make sure they are completely free of dust and grease. A clean surface is crucial for the transfer film to adhere optimally.
Cut out the motifsChoose the motifs you want to see on your jars from your transfer film. Carefully cut out the desired shapes using tweezers scissors, which make precise work easier. The tweezers scissors are a small, narrow cutting tool that has been specially developed for delicate work.
Applying the transfer foilRemove the bottom protective film from your cut-out motif. Position the motif on the outside of the glass and press it on carefully. Make sure that it is firmly attached and that there are no air bubbles.
Transfer the motif to the glassNow take a wooden stick and rub vigorously over the image. This is the so-called transfer process: by applying pressure and rubbing, the motif is transferred from the film to the glass. Make sure you work on every part of the motif.
checking and post-processingCarefully peel off the top protective film. If you notice that some parts of the motif have not been completely transferred to the glass, place the protective film again and rub these areas once more until the image is completely transferred.
Filling and decoratingYour jars are now ready to be filled as desired. Would you like to use them as a special gift wrapping that initially conceals the contents? Then cut an approximately 4 cm wide paper strips from a block of paper and place it in the jar. This is a charming way to wrap your gift.
