Creative jewellery design: bracelets and chains with bees and honeycomb beads
Bracelet:
Step 1: String the beads Start by pulling the desired beads one after the other onto a nylon thread. Make sure that the beads lie well next to each other and that there are no gaps to create an effective honeycomb pattern.
Step 2: Attach the clasps Now thread a crimp bead onto each end of the thread. Then thread a lobster clasp onto one of the ends and a ring onto the other end. You will need these elements to securely fasten the bracelet later.
Step 3: Adjust and fix the bracelet Thread the Perlon thread back through the crimp beads again to adjust the bracelet to your desired length. Press the crimp beads firmly together with jewellery tongs so that the ends are securely fixed. Your bracelet is now finished!
Create a chain with honeycomb decoration pendants and bees
Step 1: Make a honeycomb pendant Take a chain pin and thread eight beads onto it. These form the centrepiece of your honeycomb decoration pendant. Finally, add two crimp beads and press them firmly together at the end to fix the beads in place. Cut off the excess end of the chain pin.
Step 2: Stabilise the beads Glue the other honeycomb beads together with a suitable glue and leave everything to dry thoroughly. Cut a piece of pinwheel foil slightly smaller than the decoration pendant and attach it to the back to provide additional stability.
Step 3: Add the bee decoration pendant Slide the bee pendant onto another chain pin. Finally, add two crimp beads and press them firmly together at the end to fix the bee in place. Cut off the excess end of the chain pin.
Step 4: Joining elements together Connect the bee decoration pendant to the honeycomb pendant by using two rings. These rings allow the decoration pendants to move flexibly and give your chain additional dynamism.
Step 5: Assemble the chain Cut the jewellery cord to the desired length. The cord should be sized so that the chain fits well around your neck while the bow sits at the side. Thread the finished honeycomb decoration pendant and other decorative elements such as flowers onto the cord. Tie a jewellery bead to each end.
Wrapping and finishing
Final touch: creative packaging Cut pieces of cardboard, stamp them with patterns or motifs of your choice and round off the corners. Cut matching slits to securely fasten and present the bracelet and chain. The bracelet and chain will be beautifully wrapped as a gift.
