Pinecone Gnome - Instructions

Making the Hats

To start with the hats, take your pinecones in hand. Since each hat needs to be individually adjusted to the pinecone, you will not find a specific template in this guide. Cut two halves from the felt for each pinecone, which you then join together.

• With hot glue: Glue the edges of the hat halves firmly. Allow the glue to cool down well before you turn the hat inside out.
• With craft glue: Apply the glue along the edges and press the halves together. Once dry, turn it inside out.
• With a sewing machine: Sew the halves together, leaving a little space from the edge. Then turn the hat inside out.

All methods lead to a similar result, so you can choose freely. Always work carefully to avoid damaging the hat.

Attaching the Beard and Nose
Once the hats are finished, we will focus on the beard. Cut a piece of plush in the desired shape and size. If you like, you can braid the beard. When cutting, make sure to stroke the plush so that only the back is cut.

Attach the beard with hot glue to the pinecone and then affix a wooden bead as the nose. Make sure the nostrils are facing left and right, or that the hair is glued over it, so the wooden bead appears visually clean.

Finishing the Gnome
The last step is to attach the hat to the pinecone. Make sure to choose the right fit so the hat sits well. To do this, apply a circular layer of hot glue to the pinecone and place the hat on. Use the warm phase of the glue to carefully align the hat.

If desired, attach a ribbon to hang at the top of the hat. Decorate the hat with felt embellishments or cut-out leaves for an even more personalized look.
