fabric cuts create
Every fabric balloon starts with the right template. Print out the two motif templates, stick them together to form a balloon and transfer them twice onto the fabric as an outline for each balloon and then cut them out (allow for a seam allowance of approx. 1 cm when cutting out).

Making the fabric balloons
The next step is to sew the two fabric cuts together. Use the loop stitch for this, a simple hand stitch that ensures beautiful and stable edges. If you are not familiar with this stitch: It is often used to join two fabric edges together, with the thread always going around the edges of the fabric.
Sew the pieces together, but leave a small opening: Stuff the decorative balloon through the opening with wadding until it has a nice plump shape and looks voluminous.
Once you have filled the balloon, sew the opening with the loop stitch. Leave only the bottom edge from of the balloon open.

The perfect finish
Close the remaining opening with a pretty satin ribbon. This not only gives the balloon only the perfect look, but also allows you to attach it flexibly. Optionally, you can use a round stick as a "balloon stick" to create a real eye-catcher! To do this, insert the round stick into the bottom of the balloon tip and attach it to the balloon through the satin.
