This is how you design the tray with matching candles:
With the découpage technique, you can combine any straw tissue paper and apply it to different materials. You can either tear the desired patterns or cut them out with tweezers.
Use Candle Potch to stick your motifs onto the candles with a brush and leave them to dry. Candle Potch is a lacquer and glue in one and dries to a silky matt and transparent finish.
To design the tray, we have chosen the motif straw silk "Roseland Corners" in our example and cut it into strips. Glue the strips to the tray from the outside using napkin varnish . This works best if you apply the adhesive to the areas that are to be covered. Then place your motif on top and coat it again with the varnish. As the VBS napkins-Varnish is an adhesive and a coating varnish in one, you can also coat the rest of the tray with it. This protects the wood and you can wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
Place the candles with the glass coasters on the tray. Arrange the roses and Iceland moss.
