1) Preparation
Cover your work surface well to avoid accidental paint splatters, and lay out your materials.
2) Create a neon background with spatula
Gradually add a few dots in various neon colors to the stretched canvas and spread them using the spatula. To do this, place the spatula with one of its long sides against the canvas and stroke across the dots to pull them across the canvas. Repeat this process until you’re satisfied with the result.
3) Let it dry
Now let everything dry thoroughly so that no wet paint sticks to the stencil during the next step.
4) Place the “ stencil ” and dab the design
Place the “ stencil ” on the canvas and hold it firmly in place so it doesn’t slip. Alternatively, you can spray the “ stencil ” with spray adhesive from the underside and carefully place it on the canvas so it stays exactly where you want it.
Next, take a stippling brush, dip it in the paint first, and then use it to stipple the design from the stencil . When you’re done, you can carefully peel off the stencil while the paint is still wet.
Now let everything dry thoroughly.
5) Framing the Canvas
Finally, place the canvas into the wooden frame. For added stability, you can also glue the frame to the canvas with a little “ handicraft glue .”
And there you have it—your unique masterpiece is complete!
