Bring the feeling of the beach and the sea into your home with this maritime wreath. Natural materials such as jute, cotton cord and shells create a light, summery look. The wreath is easy to make and is ideal for decorating doors, walls or windows - perfect for anyone who loves maritime craft ideas.

This is how you design the wreath:

Step 1: Wrap the wreath

Fix the beginning of the cotton cord to the straw wreath with hot glue and wrap the ribbon evenly around the wreath. Then change the ribbon and glue it around the wreath jute ribbon also around the wreath. Secure the beginning and end of both ribbons with hot glue.

Step 2: Paint the decorative elements

Paint the scatter decoration and wooden plugs with the craft paints of your choice. Allow the paint to dry completely.

Step 3: Decorate the wreath

Glue the shells, scatter decoration and wooden plugs to the wreath using hot glue. Apply hot glue to the free spaces in between and then sprinkle the shell granules on top to create a harmonious, maritime look.

Step 4: Attach the suspension

Finally, tie a ribbon to the wreath to hang it up.
