What is the decoupage technique?
Decoupage is crafting with high-quality motif straw floss. The paper usually weighs 28 gsm, is printed with clear motifs and is exceptionally tear-resistant and waterproof. For the decoupage technique, a motif is cut out of the paper and fixed to the craft blank with glue.
How to craft with decoupage
Choose a straw floss and carefully cut out the desired motif. Coat the candle with candle potch. This varnish is flame-retardant and also a craft glue and coating varnish. Place the cut-out motif on the candle and smooth it out with a soft brush and some candle potch.
Use the VBS patch varnish for the Easter eggs. If you first stick a bamboo skewer through the opening of your egg, you can coat it all around with the varnish and then stick the decoupage paper on easily. You can then simply stick your finished Easter eggs into a piece of flower arrangement foam to dry.
Decorating the Easter wreath
Plugs eucalyptus into the willow wreath and fix this branch with hot glue if necessary. Place a candle holder in the wreaths and plugs a candle into it. Then attach some Iceland moss to the wreath and stick your decorated eggs on top. Pluck some blossoms from the apple blossom branch and decorate the Easter wreath with them too. Use hot glue to fix all the decorative parts to the wreaths.
Finally, place the second candle you have made on a candle plate in the wreaths.
