Tonkarton ist ein beliebtes Papier für jede Art von Bastelarbeiten. Durch seine 220 g/m² ist es stärker als Tonpapier (130 g/m²), aber längst nicht so starr wie Fotokarton (300 g/m²). Besonders Kinder basteln gerne mit Tonkarton, weil Sie ihn leicht schneiden können und der Karton nicht so leicht verknickt wie Tonpapier. Aber auch in der Kartengestaltung oder beim Arbeiten mit Schachtelschablonen ist der Tonkarton sehr beliebt, weil er sich einfach und sauber falten lässt.
